This restaurant is located right next-door to St. Vincent de Paul thrift shop on Braker. I decided to grab a bite here for lunch while the wife checked out the thrift store. I decided to dine in and was directed to one of a dozen or so tables. The egg rolls and soup came out in minutes. I ordered the beef rolls which came highly recommended by some of my fellow yelpers. The beef rolls are considered to be an appetizer, but they are more like a full meal unless you split them between four people. The hot and sour soup was decent, but I've had better and the eggrolls were straight out of the fryer and piping hot. You can pretty much expect to pay $20 for lunch here without the tip. There's no tip screen waiting for you if you dine in, but that may not be the case for takeout. They got the formula right here. Fast, friendly service, good food at a good price and plenty of parking. They do not serve alcoholic beverages and there is no public bathroom (unless you dine in). Keep in mind, they are closed on Mondays. Definitely a place I would visit again or get takeout.

I have visited this establishment usually on Sundays after church and have tried a variety of dishes on their menu. The chips and sweet and sour sauce are a free appetizer before the meal and they are light, crispy and a great starter. I have had the crispy crab puffs, combination fried rice, salt and pepper tofu, beef and broccoli and kung pow chicken. My favorite is bean curd home style tofu because it has a variety of fresh vegetables and the tofu is cooked to a nice crisp texture. The portion sizes are very large and easy to share.

A solid Chinese place for my family! Some of our staples are Malo tofu, shrimp omelette and beef noodle soup. Their Mapo tofu is the Taiwanese style where it's more mild and has more of a soy sauce flavor. The service is ok. Ambiance is nice and chill.

Dropped in for a quick bite before grocery shopping at MT Supermarket. A friend recommended need this place for their three cup chicken...but wasn't feeling like chicken at the mom meant. So went for their spicy Szechuan beef noodle soup. It was very flavorful and tasty. The pieces of meat were tender. The noodles had a great texture. The sliced red onions and green onions were great. Service was super friendly and attentive.

I haven't had good Chinese stir fry in a long time. The Chinese restaurants in my neighborhood in Rowlett/ Rockwall are all below average at best. So herein Austin this weekend and read the good reviews about the Rice Bowl Cafe. It was close by and decided to try it. I ordered Hunan Chicken. It was great! Large portion with big chunky vegetables that were stir fried just right. The sauce was excellent and not too spicy. It had that fire char taste that I like so much with good stir fry. That char taste is absent in many Chinese restaurants in Dallas for some reason. The steam rice was fluffy and soft- perfect! Egg rolls not so much. Mushy inside and not much taste. They also give you the crispy wonton noodles to crunch on while you wait. I give it 4 stars. My fortune cookie was good too!

First and foremost the attentive service from all the staff I receive every time I eat here is top notch. My usual is the Schezuan beef noodle soup, it's the best in the city. The shrimp rolls, salt and pepper chicken and their green onion pancakes are all so delicious. They continue to be consistently good. I am here weekly if possible. Go get this soup it's two meals.

This is my brothers hands down favorite restaurant. He eats here at least once a week. It's a small , nicely decorated restaurant. Plenty of seating. We finally had a chance to try it and it's so delicious. We've been here several times since then, they have an mouth watering soup that I absolutely love. Their fried rice is delicious too. Out server was very sweet and patient with our endless questions about their menu.
